Michael J. Thompson, better known to all as Mike Thompson, was born on Aug. 16, 1964 to John R. and Rosalind C. (Waite) Thompson in Bridgeport, Conn., and he entered into rest with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Jan. 27, 2006 unexpectedly at the age of 41 years in Coupeville.

Prior to an automobile accident in 1987, Mike worked in the construction and welding trades. Mike also enjoyed working on classic cars and motorcycles.

Mike is survived by his family; loving mother Rosalind C. Thompson of Langley; beloved brother John David Thompson and his wife Laurie, and nephew John A. Thompson, all of Clinton; and many friends at the Legion and other places that will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the American Legion Hall in Bayview.
