Born Jan. 1, 1918, (Oakland’s first baby), Natalie Franck Mullally died peacefully at home on March 9, 2006 with her daughter, Mully, attending.
Natalie attended Lakeview Elementary School, graduated from Piedmont High School in 1934 and Cal-Berkeley in 1938. She was the first in her family to graduate from college.
She was the loving and wonderful mother of Mully and Jim; proud grandmother of Cere Demuth (Lary Wight) and Oliver Demuth (Vanna Shir); and blessed great-grandmother of Nate, Vida and Callum.
Natalie loved to travel, knit, read, needlepoint, do crossword puzzles and play bridge. The last six years of her life were some of her happiest, living in Langley, enjoying the peace and quiet beauty of the Puget Sound and spending time with her family.
After breaking her hip in November, Mrs. Mullally was lovingly cared for by a wonderful team of caregivers from Island Home Nursing and nurses from Home Health. You made her life meaningful and comfortable and Natalie’s family deeply appreciates your love and support.
Lift your soul and rest in peace, Mom. You will be missed by all who know and love you.
Remembrances in Natalie’s name may be made to South Whidbey Children’s Center, 120 Sixth St., Langley, WA 98260.
