Patricia Savage

Patricia Eleanor Phelps was born on May 20, 1920 in Spokane, to Homer and Clara Phelps.

The family moved to Seattle where she attended Lincoln High School, graduating in 1937. She attended the University of Washington where she joined Pi Beta Phi Sorority, and met her husband William C. Savage, whom she married in 1941.

Moving to Whidbey Island in 1978, they enjoyed family gatherings, including their four children Janet (Blair), William (Paula), Craig (Sherry) and David (Carrie). Also, their nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with one more expected this November.

Bill and Pat loved traveling the world and were big Seattle Mariner baseball fans. Together they owned and ran The Brass Ring gift shop in Freeland for many years.

Dad preceded Mom in death in 2000. Mom passed away on Oct. 7, 2010 at age 90.

The family gives special thanks to the caregivers from Island Home Nursing who helped care for her this past year and enabled her to continue living at her beloved Whidbey Island home.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at Sand Point Community United Methodist Church, 4710 NE 70th St., Seattle.
