Pearl Irene Martin passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 25, at the home of her daughter Rose Marie Lawry of Greenbank.
Pearl was born to Elisha and May Holmes Fleenor on July 25, 1916.
She grew up with her siblings Jewel Argetsinger, Jane Burford, Perry Fleenor and Arthur Fleenor (deceased).
Pearl married Howard Martin on March 9, 1937. They were married for 51 years before Howard’s passing.
Pearl has five children: Rose Marie, Sharon, Loren, Earl and Paul (deceased).
Pearl retired from the Sportscaster garment factory as a seamstress after 25 years of service. She was an active T.O.P.S. member for 30 years, and also affiliated with the garment workers’ union.
She worked at a laundry after retiring until she was past 80 years old.
She loved traveling, sewing and helping anyone in need.
She was a member of the Church of Christ most of her life.
Pearl was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She will be missed by her children, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and her siblings.
Pearl’s funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the Acadia Funeral Home at 14951 Bothell Way NE in Seattle (Lake Forest Park), followed with internment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Redmond.
