Ray Stevens Janssen, 63, passed away in his home in Surrey, B.C. on Oct. 30, 2008.

Born in 1945, he was a 1963 graduate of Langley High School. He is survived by daughter Sara, her husband Gerard, and grandson Joshua Lopez of Calgary, Alberta; son Jon Janssen, his wife Tracy, and grandson Jack Janssen of Lethridge, Alberta; and sister Sandra (Janssen) Siebert of Clinton.

A graduate of Western Washington University, Ray worked in Health Insurance in Vancouver, B.C., Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Toronto, Ontario, Canada, retiring in 2006.

When visiting his old homestead in Clinton, clamming and crabbing in Cultus Bay were among his favorite activities. He will be missed by all friends and relatives.
