Michael R. Rudd, aka “Mike the Ice Cream Guy,” died quietly at ENSO House in Freeland on Monday,

Aug. 24, 2009 after a short fight with cancer.

He was surrounded by friends, family and Flame.

Mike was born in Everett on July 27, 1943. He attended school in Everett, graduating from Marysville High School.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eula Rudd, and his two best friends, Sasha and Lola.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Stoll, his son Eric (wife Jennifer), his two beautiful granddaughters Emma and Abby (who were the light of his life), his sister Linda (Vernon) Gabelein, and, of course, Flame.

At his request there will be no services. Donations may be made in his name to ENSO House, 6339 Wahl Road, Freeland, WA 98249.

Mike was a gentle giant who will be missed, especially by Flame.
