The second annual Carl Westling Memorial 5k returns to South Whidbey High School at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. Registration on the day of the race costs $10.

The 5k precedes the South Whidbey Invitational cross country meet. It draws some of the state’s best high school cross country teams, including Glacier Peak and Eisenhower.
