Six games into the season, the South Whidbey boys basketball team was still looking for a win.

The Falcons lost to Cedarcrest 80-42 on Friday and 60-50 to Overlake on Saturday.

South Whidbey’s offense stalled early in the game, scoring only four points in the first quarter. By then, Cedarcrest had a 17-point lead it would extend the rest of the game.

Falcon junior Parker Collins led South Whidbey with 14 points. Senior Brandon Asay chipped in 13. Cedarcrest senior Jordan Corpus scored a game-high 21 points.

At Overlake High School on Saturday, the Falcons and Owls battled through the first half, with Overlake leading 35-29. But the Falcons rallied in the third quarter to trail only 43-41. Overlake pulled away in the fourth quarter with 17 points to win 60-50.

Collins scored a game-high 21 points in the loss, and Asay added 14.
