Community invited to run 5K at Westling Invitational / Cross country

South Whidbey residents can relive their high school days by being part of the Carl Westling Cross Country Invitational Saturday, Sept. 21.

The annual event at South Whidbey High School includes a community 5K at 9 a.m.

The run will precede the high school and middle school races, which will include more than 2,000 athletes from 46 schools.

The cost of the community run is $10, and participants can sign up before the race.
