Cougar eighth grade girls won the Cascade League titles in the mile, discus and hurdles. Tera Applegate set her personal record in the 75-meter hurdles and won the championship race in 12.76 seconds. Hailey Simchuk claimed the discus title with a distance of 70 feet, 7 inches — her second farthest throw of the year. In the mile, Mallorie Mitchem set her personal best time and finished first in 5 minutes, 54.34 seconds. Mitchem also placed second in the 800-meter run, which she ran her fastest time of 2 minutes, 33.78 seconds, less than .06 seconds from first place.

A handful of seventh grade Cougars won first place in their events, too. On the girls team, Anna Leski won the mile in 5 minutes, 51.86 seconds, which shattered her previous best time by more than 30 seconds. Fellow distance runner Sophia Morgan was close behind for second place in the mile and won the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 36.85 seconds.

Leski joined with Bailey Forsyth, Carmen Colar and Megan Drake to finish first in the seventh-grade 400-meter relay in 55.46 seconds. Forsyth also won the 75-meter hurdles in 13.80 seconds.

One seventh grade Cougar boy won his event. Chase Barthbelt placed first in the shot put with a mark of 34 feet, 11.50 inches.
