South Whidbey High School winter athletic teams are about to begin competition.

The boys basketball team will be the first to see action, playing at the Mariner Jamboree at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24. The Falcons first regular-season game is at home with Meridian at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27.

The South Whidbey girls basketball team will open the season when Port Townsend visits at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28.

The Falcon wrestlers begin with a trip to the 28-team Return of the Seahawk Tournament at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Chief Sealth High School in Seattle.

The first home match is 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, when Sultan and Granite Falls come to town for a double-dual meet.
