Hitch a ride to the slopes with Snowrider

South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District is offering the Snowrider again this winter sports season.

South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District is offering the Snowrider again this winter sports season.

This is an opportunity to get outside and exercise during winter, meet new people or learn a new sport.

There are Coupeville, South Whidbey and Mukilteo pickups, plus an Everett pickup on the Tuesday bus. Discount lift tickets are available with the Snowrider program.

Youth Snowrider Saturdays run Jan. 8 to Feb. 12. Kids 10-18 can take trips to Stevens Pass for six Saturdays and ride in chartered buses with chaperones and drivers experienced in winter driving conditions. Stevens Pass has a variety of slopes for all abilities, from novice to advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Adult Snowrider Tuesdays begin Jan. 11 and end on

Feb. 15.
