South Whidbey’s girls basketball team defeated Sultan 52-50 in overtime on Friday night at South Whidbey High School.

South Whidbey’s girls basketball team defeated Sultan 52-50 in overtime on Friday night at South Whidbey High School.

Falcon junior Megan Drake led all scorers with 25 points, while junior Kinsey Eager finished second on the team with 10 points. The game was tied at 44 at the end of regulation. The Falcons outscored the Turks 8-6 in the final period en route to the victory. The Falcons improved to 6-9 overall and 4-6 in the Cascade Conference. South Whidbey is one game ahead of Class 1A league foe Cedar Park Christian in the standings.

The Falcons play Cedar Park Christian on the road Jan. 29.
