South Whidbey track and field’s girls team took home a pair of first-place medals from the Terrace Invite at Edmonds Woodway High School on Saturday, April 23.

South Whidbey track and field’s girls team took home a pair of first-place medals from the Terrace Invite at Edmonds Woodway High School on Saturday, April 23.

Falcon sophomore Elizabeth Donnelly won the 800-meter event with a time of two minutes and 27 seconds, while senior Allie Vanbenschoten captured the 300-meter hurdles, finishing in 49.39 seconds.

The girls 4×400-meter relay team, consisting of Donnelly, Vanbenschoten, senior Kendra Warwick and junior Kinsey Eager, placed fifth.

Sophomore Sophia Nielsen (long jump, 100-meter hurdles) and senior Morgan Davis (javelin) finished in the top five of their respective events.

Freshman Kristopher Dixon (fifth at 300-meter hurdles) was the boys team’s only individual top-five placer.
