Rainy day doesn’t dampen South Whidbey golfers

Harrison Price, in spite of cold, windy, wet weather, shot a one-under par 71 to carry the South Whidbey boys golf team to a 443-469 nonleague win over Oak Harbor at the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club Tuesday, April 17.

Also shooting for the Falcons were Jesse Portillo (89), Jerimiah Robey (94), Derrick Riley (94), Quintin Viers (95) and Evan Merculief (98).

The Falcon JV team also won 265-273.

South Whidbey, second place in the Cascade Conference, hosts a league match at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Useless Bay.
