The South Whidbey boys soccer team beat Granite Falls 6-0 Tuesday.

“Well, it was a good win after a tough loss against King’s; it’s nice to get back on a winning track,” said Falcon coach Joel Gerlach.

The Falcons are 7-6 in the league, fourth in league standings.

Against Granite Falls, the Falcons scored on goals from Pat Myatt, Ian McCaulley, Henry Mead, Sam Mitchell, and two from Miles Goodman.

“This was a good game for us to work on finishing at the goal, and I think the boys scored some quality points.”

Gerlach offered kudos as well to the two goalies who shared in the shutout — Karl Peterson and Keegan Harshman.

“They did a great job,” the coach said.

On Saturday, the Falcons were blanked 2-0 by Archbishop Murphy to end the season.

South Whidbey will head to Bellingham at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8 for a playoff crossover game with a Northwest League team.
