South Whidbey competes in 9-team meet / Track

The South Whidbey High School track team gathered four first places in a nine-team meet at King’s Woolsey Stadium Thursday, March 28.

The Falcon boys collected the four firsts, split among individual and relay events. Callahan Yale captured the 800 (2:07.02) and Issiah Gonzales won the high jump (5-10), while Yale joined Matthew Simmons, Bodie Hezel and Max Dodd to win the 4×400 (3:37.38) and Gonzales teamed with Simmons, Carl Henri Chapman and Caden Spear to finish first in the 4×100 (44.24).

Team scores were not available.

The Falcons will compete in the 26-team Holder Relays at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima.
