South Whidbey’s boys and girls cross country teams finished in second place at the first Cascade Conference meet of the year at King’s High School on Wednesday.

The Falcon girls were led by junior Mallorie Mitchem and senior Emma Lungren. Mitchem ran the 2.1-mile course in 15:21; Lungren in 15:55. South Whidbey’s boys were led by senior Cole Zink. He finished in second place overall in 12:41.
