This is just a note to clarify that the Puget Sound Regional Council plays no role in setting tariffs for Washington State Ferries. A recent letter to the editor erroneously reported that the council sets ferry tariffs.

The Washington Transportation Commission sets ferry tariffs.

The commission recently held a meeting in the boardroom of the Puget Sound Regional Council to act on the latest ferry tariff proposal.
