Whidbey Island Center for the Arts will host a Short Story Smash Contest with Chris Spencer at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 on the Michael Nutt Mainstage.

The event is a part of WICA’s Literary Series.

To participate, submit a short story of exactly 100 words. Stories 99 words or less or 101 plus will not be accepted. The title does not count toward the total.

The deadline for submissions is May 20.
