Fred McCarthy, Langley’s newly appointed mayor, wrapped a busy two weeks of one-on-one meetings with City Hall staffers.

The hour-long face-to-face chats left McCarthy with a good feeling about the city’s future.

“I was very impressed,” he said. “I thought it was real valuable to get to know them.”
