Langley Mayor Fred McCarthy awarded Dr. John Plakos a certificate for his service on the city’s Ethics Commission on Monday.
“I know one of the things he did was interview high school students, and he should go straight to heaven just for that,” said McCarthy, a former school teacher.
Plakos, one of an eight-member group that worked on the city’s ethics policies, was happy to help Langley.
“It was a privilege to serve on the commission,” Plakos said. “I’m at your disposal.”
