The annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to benefit Good Cheer Food Bank will be Saturday, May 14, sponsored by local post offices.

South End postal carriers will pick up food items left next to mailboxes during their regular delivery rounds, and postal employees will deliver it to the food bank, said Shawn Nowlin, Good Cheer community outreach coordinator.

“It’s one of the best donation days,” Nowlin said. “It allows us to provide a variety of food to our clients.”

Requested are non-perishable foods that are not beyond their expiration dates. For more information, e-mail community@goodcheer.org.
