Boyer is a member of South Whidbey High School’s Class of 2001, and his wife graduated from SWHS in 2003.

The Marine is currently stationed at Twenty Nine Palms, Calif., following a deployment to Afghanistan last winter.

He is the son of Neil Colburn and Candace Culver of Langley.
