Next Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 5:30 p.m., the Langley City Council will consider an ordinance that bans fireworks. This will be the first time that the council and the public will get a look at the proposed ordinance.

If you have an opinion about banning fireworks, either for or against, I invite you to come to the council meeting and state that opinion during the public comment period. As the sponsor of this ordinance, I have started this conversation.

However, Langley citizen input will determine whether the ordinance is passed and a ban comes into effect. If there is no supportive input, it simply will not pass. Now is the time to step forward if this issue is important to you.
