LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Building a funicular in Langley is a good idea

Editor, When I read Eric Levine’s article proposing a funicular to the Langley marina from the bluff above, it reminded me of my experience riding one such vehicle to reach Orvieto, a hill town in Italy. It was an amazing construct and the view of the countryside during the ascent and descent was amazingly beautiful.

Editor,

When I read Eric Levine’s article proposing a funicular to the Langley marina from the bluff above, it reminded me of my experience riding one such vehicle to reach Orvieto, a hill town in Italy. It was an amazing construct and the view of the countryside during the ascent and descent was amazingly beautiful.

I agree that building a funicular in Langley would not only offer the views, but would inspire many people to visit Langley just for the experience. I hope the powers that be will set about very soon seeking the approval necessary to build it, so that all can begin to experience the benefits.
