To the editor:

It is the season to give thanks. This has been a very productive and successful year for the South Whidbey Commons, and we would like to thank the community and its individual members who have cheered us on by donating time, expertise, funds and support. We are thankful for the confidence and enthusiasm you have shown for our mission to build community by providing gathering spaces and activities for all people of South Whidbey.

Two of our local service organizations stand out on this list.

The Kiwanis Club stepped forward with a grant to aid in our SummerFun programs and other youth focused events.

The Rotary Club awarded us a grant to support our child and teen programming and community activities.

The members of Rotary and Kiwanis put a great deal of effort and time into raising these funds, and we are honored to be chosen as the recipient of their hard work.
