LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Don’t expect perfection from WhidbeyHealth

Editor, I attended Whidbey General Hospital’s June 13 WhidbeyHealth (WH) launching. No, nothing ever goes 100 percent according to script. But if the hospital is to be successful a major attitude change is needed.

Editor,

I attended Whidbey General Hospital’s June 13 WhidbeyHealth (WH) launching. With a new administrative team and new wing construction the hospital district is showing itself to be in restructure and redirect mode.

Will everything work out as planned? No, nothing ever goes 100 percent according to script. But if the hospital is to be successful a major attitude change is needed. People, such as I, who have been critics of the previous administration, should be patient and watch the process unfold.

When we have concerns based on fact perhaps a better way to proceed might be to bring the issue to the CEO rather than first going to the papers. We’ve all known someone who told us to do something or to do it differently and when you make changes they tell you that it’s the wrong change or not enough.

Don’t be that person. Let’s give this WhidbeyHealth change a chance.
