LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Jingle run and walk went off perfectly

To the editor:

Please send a big thank you to the Central Whidbey Chamber of Commerce and Aaron Terada, manager of Fort Ebey State Park, for putting on the Central Whidbey Jingle Trail Run & Walk on Dec. 6 on some of the Fort Ebey State Park trails.

The chamber’s volunteers and Aaron are to be commended for providing a chance for young and old alike to get out of the house and enjoy some time in the woods.

The run and the walk went off without a hitch — a tribute to planning and foresight. The trails were the only challenge of the day.

Fort Ebey State Park is my running “home,” and I was personally proud of the total lack of trash left behind. The people, both participants and spectators took the time to clean up before leaving.

My personal thanks to all.
