To the editor:

I was enchanted by the current production of Whidbey Island Dance’s “Nutcracker.”

My daughter and I used to attend every year but, since she went to college, we have missed it. In taking our little friend, Amelie, this year we both found ourselves surprised and delighted by this heartful production. In fact the Snow Journey was so lovely we both ended up in tears. What a rare treat to have such splendid, joyful young dancers.

Congratulations for wonderful, inventive choreography, great costuming and more than anything, those enormous smiles of pure joy on the dancers’ faces!
