To the editor:

I came out here from Virginia for a month, and I can’t believe how friendly and helpful everyone has been on South Whidbey. From Ken’s Hardware to the kayak rental operation to the fly fisherman on the beach at Possession Point; everyone has been incredibly helpful and nice. The pharmacy at Ken’s Corner, the Star Store and both coffee shops in Langley are also tops on the list.

I lived in Seattle several times before moving to the D.C. area, so I’m not a jaded East Coaster. It has truly been a pleasant experience, and thanks to all for making it that way! You have a nice community here.
