To the editor:

The Clinton Progressive Association wants to acknowledge the outstanding example of service to the community provided by Gary Whitcomb’s Custom Remodel and Steve’s Plumbing.

With financial assistance provided by Clinton businesses over the past year, the association was able to purchase the materials needed to establish handicapped accessible restrooms and to provide safety exit doors in the Clinton Community Hall. Custom Remodel and Steve’s Plumbing stepped forward to provide their labor services at no cost to make all the installations. The work turned out to be more involved but both Gary Whitcomb’s Custom Remodel crew and Steve’s Plumbing completed the work in a very professional manner. We are very pleased with the results.

It is this kind of spirit that makes living on Whidbey Island such a great privilege for all of us.
