LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Thank you for the vote of confidence

Editor, The vote of confidence by Whidbey Islanders in my candidacy for the hospital board is heartening. In reviewing the numbers, I see that voters in each of the four precinct areas (North, Central, and South Whidbey and Oak Harbor) supported me over the incumbent, showing the north and south citizens aren’t always political opposites.

Editor,

The vote of confidence by Whidbey Islanders in my candidacy for the hospital board is heartening. In reviewing the numbers, I see that voters in each of the four precinct areas (North, Central, and South Whidbey and Oak Harbor) supported me over the incumbent, showing the north and south citizens aren’t always political opposites.

Though I’ve lost my underdog status, I pledge to work even harder to build up your trust. I’m offering fresh ideas, as readers of my campaign website and blog are aware. I’m doubling up on my work ethic and sense of commitment to improving our hospital — look for me in my aqua scrubs! Please remain engaged, pass the word around, and make sure to return the ballot that arrives in mid-October. Those ballots will dictate whether we will have an advocate for reform, or a representative of the past status quo, on our hospital board.

Thank you so much for your encouragement, your support, and your votes.
