Letter: Vote out Trump in November election

Editor,

The person in the White House, Donald J. Trump, has committed impeachable offenses on nearly a weekly basis, from the beginning.

Why did the Senate not back the House in his removal? Fear? Don’t they realize, the Senate, could have saved the Country, our Constitution and the various departments Trump is gutting, if they would have stood together and removed him! He then would have no power over them!

Now we need to watch Trump and his henchman Barr as they go about trying to take down anyone who tries to thwart Trump’s criminal acts and anyone who even criticizes him.

Do we need to be reminded of what Trump has done over the last three years:

1. Referred to Aftrican countries as “shit-holes,” Mexicans as “rapists,” Neo-Nazis as “very fine people.” Bigotry, racism and white nationalism are impeachable offenses.

2. Six migrant children aged two to 16 have died in federal custody. Over the previous 10 years not a single migrant child died. Separated more than 5,400 children and babies from their parents and locked them in cages, a clear violation of international law and may have amounted to torture.

3. Trump has been violating both the domestic and foreign emolument clauses; making money on his resorts, properties and businesses and having the Saudis bail out his under-performing hotels, which he should not be involved in.

4. Violated campaign finance laws, tax and bank fraud by paying illegal hush money to two women.

5. Trump has encouraged his supporters to attack his politcal opponents, with his inflammatory rhetoric.

6. Trump has engaged in assaults on the freedom of the press, threatening to revoke the broadcast licenses of media organizations that criticized him, asked FBI to jail reporters and members of the press have received death threats from people echoing Trump’s vile language.

7. Nearly 3,000 people died from Trump’s negligence and incompetence in handling Hurricane Maria, illegally withholding congressionally appropriated disaster relief money.

8. Obstruction of justice identified by Robert Mueller’s investigation of the Russian interference in the 2016 election.

9. Trump lies all the time, over 16,000 identified.

10. Abuse of women including sexual assault and harassment.

Would any of this partial list be enough to vote Trump out in November, since impeachment did not work?

I certainly hope all people will come out and vote him out, for the sake of the country, the Constitution and our sanity!
