To the editor:

IDIPIC thanks those who sponsored our recent Whidbey Wine, Dine & Dance fundraiser: Farmers Insurance/Voit Agency, Harada Physical Therapy, Munros’ Driving Instruction, Martin’s Auto Electric, Oak Harbor Elks No. 2362, Oak Harbor Les Schwab Tire Center, State Farm/Landry Agency, Tradewinds Insurance, Whidbey Marketplace & News and WhidbeyLocal.com.

Additional thanks to the SeaNotes, the Whidbey Improv Team and emcee Jim Freeman for their donated entertainment and the many businesses that donated auction items, which are listed at our web site.

Your wonderful support allows more of funds raised, to be matched by Island Thrift, for our DUI, Underage Drinking and Other Substance Use prevention

work with youth — which will be nearly $10,000. Well done!

While I’m here, IDIPIC will be providing reflective trick-or-treat bags and bike and costume reflectors at Walmart from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29  so kids can “Be Safe Be Seen on Halloween.”
