Tickets are now on sale for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Island County’s annual Festival of Trees gala and auction.

This year’s festivities will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the Elk’s Lodge in Oak Harbor with host Stephanie Smith.

South Whidbey’s festival is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3 at Useless Bay Golf & Country Club with Sue Frause.

Organizers said the Festival of Trees has become a holiday tradition on the island; a community celebration designed to brighten the holiday season while brightening the futures of children in the community. All funds from the formal event go directly to children’s services.
