Donated tree used in Langley holiday | KUDOS

A tree donated by the Whidbey Camano Land Trust and decorated by representatives of the Langley Chamber of Commerce was used in the Lighting of Langley event on Nov. 26.

The Douglas fir tree donated by the land trust was cut as part of ecological restoration thinning at Trillium Community Forest, said Amy McInerney, communications and outreach manager for the Whidbey Camano Land Trust.

The decorators included Ursula Shoudy, Michaleen McGarry, Robin Black, Lilly van Gerbig and Melene Thompson.

The Lighting of Langley is an annual community celebration at Langley Park on Second Street and Anthes Avenue that is meant to kick off the holiday season in town.
