Former Whidbey Islander Amy Walker and her company SoulFire Films are making a music video of the theme song for the upcoming film “Connected” and are looking for participants.

The music video is called “We Are Connected.” The crew will start filming promptly at noon Saturday, May 9 at the park at Second and Anthes streets in Langley. Filming will move to a few locations in and around Langley.

All ages are welcome, and families are encouraged to join in the fun.

Wear colorful clothes. Participants may bring a light-colored T-shirt to have stenciled with the “Connected” hand-sign logo on it.

The video will include a number of fun group activities that show connection among all ages.

Come and connect to the South Whidbey community for a video that will be seen by perhaps thousands or millions of people on YouTube.

The music video is to be used to promote “Connected,” SoulFire’s first feature.

“Connected” tells the story of a disconnected family struggling to love each other for who they are.

The group has launched a massive development campaign through online tools such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and the SoulFire Project Web site, which solicits $1 donations from visitors in the hope of funding the film.
