The 2022 Miss Oak Harbor Pageant culminated in more than $21,000 in scholarships and prizes awarded.

The 2022 Miss Oak Harbor Scholarship Pageant, sponsored by Thrive Community Fitness and held on March 19 at Living Word Church, culminated with the crowning of Miss Oak Harbor and Teen Miss Oak Harbor and more than $21,000 in scholarships and prizes awarded.

The pageant was open to Oak Harbor High School students who aspired to embark on a six-week journey to gain valuable coaching in many life skills, numerous networking opportunities, new friendships, powerful mentoring and thousands of dollars in college scholarships.

“The judges definitely had their work cut out for them. They were tasked with the very difficult job of scoring contestants in the areas of personal interview, speech/talent, formal wear and stage presence,” said Pageant Director River Powers.

Participants were also scored in ten additional categories — academics, service, extra-curricular activities, work, marketing, health and wellness, style and self-expression, physical fitness, attendance and Board of Directors input.

The 2022 Miss Oak Harbor Royalty, who will spend their year of reign serving their community and raising funds and awareness for their service project are Thinalyn Ramier, Miss Oak Harbor 2022; Sara Rhodes, First Princess; Katie Tanner, Second Princess; Kiersten Tyson, Teen Miss Oak Harbor 2022; Hannah Kunkel, Teen First Princess; and Laurianna Newcomb, Teen Second Princess.
