Annual emergency fair set for Wednesday in Freeland

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) will hold its 4th annual Emergency Preparation and Safety Fair next week. The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Puget Sound Energy’s Community Office, located at 1794 Main Street in Freeland.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) will hold its 4th annual Emergency Preparation and Safety Fair next week.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Puget Sound Energy’s Community Office, located at 1794 Main Street in Freeland.

Representatives from Island County Emergency Management, South Whidbey Fire/EMS, Island County Amateur Radio Club and PSE will be present to answer questions.

There will be demonstrations and materials to help attendees better prepare for emergencies. There will also be information regarding electric safety and emergency planning resources on Whidbey. Attendees will also have a chance to win several prizes. Drawings will take place at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
