“Motorcyclists can win prizes and support Readiness to Learn by participating in the Whidbey Island Poker Ride on Saturday, July 22.Organizer Patty McGlenn has created a five-stop course from Langley to Mount Erie on Fidalgo Island. Riders pick up a poker card at each stop, and at the end of the day the best hands win prizes donated by cycle shops.More importantly, the entry fee of $12.50 for singles and $22 for doubles supports the non-profit Readiness to Learn, an organization that helps children. The fee includes a salmon or rib barbecue.Preregistration may be made by sending a check to Poker Ride /SWPR, PO Box 136, Langley WA 98260.
