The after-school hangout in Langley has risen from the ashes in the past two years. It went from being scrapped and shuttered to reopening on a limited basis. Now it is prepared to run five days per week next school year after successful fundraisers like the cart raffle, a salmon feed in spring and a matching grant by Nancy Nordhoff. More than 600 raffle tickets were sold for the cart, bringing about $600.

The HUB operated three parking lots in Langley during the Choochokam Arts Festival to bring in money for the program.
