South Whidbey Fire/EMS commissioners will look at the plan for the department’s surplus equipment at its meeting Thursday, Feb. 9.

Three items are on the agenda for the 5:30 p.m. gathering. The commissioners will vote on a resolution for the district’s extra gear and how to sell or dispose of it. They will also vote on a resolution to change the name – it was formerly Island County Fire District 3 – to South Whidbey Fire/EMS, which the department has already adopted as its new moniker.

The fire department will also vote to approve a new member, Kimberly Boenish.

South Whidbey Fire/EMS meets at the Freeland station located at 5535 Cameron Road.
