A couple of fire stations on South Whidbey need asbestos removed. South Whidbey Fire/EMS Chief Rusty Palmer reported to the fire commissioners that the work will cost $63,000.

The stations at Maxwelton and Bayview are in line to have the work completed this summer, despite the district only having $36,000 in its budget for the work.
