July 3rd, the annual Celebrate America event in Freeland, is canceled for 2020

The staff at South Whidbey Assembly of God, the church that for 25 years has organized Celebrate America, determined that Washington state’s phased approach to reopening businesses and community activities make it impossible to hold the event this year, according to a press release.

The staff is already working on Celebrate America for July 3, 2021.

The Maxwelton Parade on July 4th and Whidbey Island Fair in Langley were also canceled for 2020.
