Goosefoot, a local non-profit organization, will honor Langley resident and philanthropist Nancy Nordhoff with a sculpture dedication at the Bayview Cash Store at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15.

Goosefoot commissioned local sculptor Sue Taves with the task of carving an original work of art made out of black basalt.

Nordhoff is a founder of Goosefoot and served on the board from 1999-2015. The sculpture is meant to honor Nordhoff for her contributions to Bayview Corner, which included purchasing and renovating the Bayview Cash Store and grounds as a gift to the community. She also founded Hedgebrook, the women writers’ retreat center on South Whidbey.
