A request concerning Greenbank Farm will be the subject of a special session of the Island County Planning Commission this month.

The commission will convene at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the Commissioners Hearing Room in Coupeville to consider the Port of Coupeville’s request to amend the land-use map within the Greenbank Farm Master Plan, and the regulations for the Greenbank Farm Special Review District.

The proposal would readjust the sub-zone boundaries in the Special Review District along Wonn Road and in the commercial sub-zone. It would also allow a park-n-ride as a permitted use in the sub-zone adjacent to Wonn Road.

The planning commission is an advisory group that makes recommendations on land-use and development rules to the Island County Board of Commissioners.
