Freeland-based Island Recycling provides recycling services at the county’s Coupeville transfer station.

The contract allows the county to extend the agreement for a maximum of three years. In exchange, Island Recycling agreed to complete construction of a third fabric building which ensures environmental regulatory compliance. In addition, the amendment adjusts Island Recycling’s requirement for general aggregate insurance from $1,000,000 to $2,000,000.
