New float for Langley dock

“The Langley Town Council voted to purchase a $1,200 float for the public dock last Tuesday. The new 10×37 float will accommodate up to six 20-foot boats according to Bill Mahan, councilman in charge of parks.

Mahan said the float would be ready for delivery six weeks after the order is made.”

Families pack gym to watch ‘91 graduates

“The Class of 1991 gave their final performance at South Whidbey high School Sunday afternoon. And they played to a full house.

As the tenth class to graduate from South Whidbey High School, the 108 graduating seniors gave their farewells to classmates, teachers, families and friends.”

Three helicopters take 3 victims from ferry dock

“A record number of helicopter landings and fast action by rescue personnel saved some lives Tuesday afternoon at the Clinton ferry dock.

The dock was used for landings and takeoffs by three Airlift Northwest helicopter air ambulances responding to a call to help three boaters suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.”
