“Langley Middle School is now open for new student registration, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily. Parents are reminded to bring their student’s immunization records at that time. All sixth graders are required to have a second MMR immunization before Sept. 5.A special sixth grade student/parent orientation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 29 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., providing an opportunity to meet the teachers, go through the first four periods and get locker assignments.Students who have previously been enrolled in the South Whidbey School District can come in on Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Aug. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., to pick up their class schedules. PE uniforms will also be available on those dates. The cost is $14.Seventh and eighth grade students planning to turn out for cross country, softball or football must have their physicals and insurance forms taken care of before their first turnout. These forms are available in the Langley Middle School office. The first cross country and softball practices will be held after school, Sept. 5. The first football practice is Wednesday, Aug. 30 from 3-5 p.m. Football equipment will be handed out from 9-11 a.m. in the boys locker room on Aug. 28 to eighth graders and Aug. 29 to seventh graders.Students and parents who need more information should contact LMS at 221-5100 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. “
